Samsung released the One UI 8.5 beta version for the Galaxy S25 series in December 2025. It has also opened the new software’s beta Programme for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and the Galaxy Z Flip 7. It seems the company plans to expand it to the Galaxy S24 series too.
Also, a beta firmware for the Galaxy S24 series featuring One UI 8.5 has been spotted on Samsung’s server. It reveals that the company is likely to open the One UI 8.5 beta Programme for the Galaxy S24 lineup before long.
Moreover, before now, Samsung had launched the stable version of One UI 8.5 with the Galaxy S26 series. It was expected that, soon, the brand would start unveiling the stable version of the new software to older phones.
While waiting for Samsung to begin rolling out the beta and stable One UI 8.5 updates to eligible devices, the brand has already begun testing One UI 9.0. This is based on Android 17 and brings UI changes as well as new features.
